I absolutely love chantung material, I have already made a gorgeous top and skirt from a vintage pattern in this stunning gold colour, and just yesterday I went and bought black chantung to make a vintage dress. The patterns are of course from www.gloriousvintage.com I will have to get my camera out and start taking some photos.

I had a Jewellery Party last night for my sister and although eight confirmed, only five showed up. Although it was still a good party and I'm sure my sister was happy with the sales, it got me thinking....

What do people really think about home parties? Do you love 'em or hate 'em? What is it about them that you either love or hate? What would it take for you to go: "WOW, I will defineately attend that party"?

I am very curious to know so please have your say!

My sewing machine has returned!!

Yay! Now I can finally start making the kimono shoes and bibs.

I also have a pattern which i bought from http://www.evadress.com which I have been longing to make. It's an evening gown and is exquisite. It's from 1936 and I am hoping to make it to sell, but I bet by the time I've finished it, I'll want to keep it.

More like it's thrown a hissy fiit and stopped working!

I have finally taken it to the sewing machine doctor so hopefully it wont be long before I can start making those gorgeous kimono shoes I'm so excited about!

Now that I have found my camera I will start taking photos of the clothes I have made. There is an evening gown I made from Evadress patterns, which is simply gorgeous, and a top and capri pants that I've made from Glorious Vintage patterns. I love all that vintage stuff. My fav era's are the '30's, '40s and 50's. Such style and class!

Now that my online store is open for business I have decided to start a blog.

I will be talking about the trials and tribulations i have with my sewing. In my store I will have a range of clothes and accessories for children and adults.

All my patterns come from other online stores, these are: Glorious Vintage, Evadress, Lena's Patterns, Tye Die Diva and Precious Patterns.

Now why is it that I am thanking my sister??? Well I am pretty useless when it comes to this computer stuff and seeing as how she has a wonderful store up and running already, who best to ask for help! So I did, and she did!
